Hi, I was looking to purchase a security certificate from
http://instantssl.com/, but I don't want to waste money on a
certificate if they're not one of my browser's default trusted
authorities. They told me,

"We are included in IE as an intermediate certificate friendly name
being Comodo Class 3 Security Services"

Does anyone have them as a trusted authority? I have checked my IE 6
settings on both my Win2000 machine and WinXP at work, and I cannot
find them. I used these steps to check trusted authorities on IE:

tools -> Internet Options
Then Select the Content tab
There is a Certificates section
select Certificates...
Select Intermediate certificate authorities and Trusted root
certificate authorities

Appreciate your insight, - Dave

their support. I was supprized how good they actually are with
customers. I would recomend them +++

Comodo is fast and competent. They have a very good web-based
user interface as well where you can manage all your certificates.
Truly recommended!

The reason you could not find them in IE's cert chain is
Comodo is using a chain certificate of GTE. Their root cert
points to GTE CyberTrust Global Root.
