Hi,

I have a wireless network at home set up with the Gateway WGR-200
router. I'm having trouble accessing 1 particular site (page not
found). When I bypass the router completely, I can access the site. So
I think the router's built-in firewall is blocking the site. How do I
unblock this site? I can't find where I can configure the router's
firewall. I can access the router's set-up page via the http link, but
I don't see any option for configuring the firewall.

I'm using Windows XP, with a desktop, laptop and cable modem.

Thanks in advance,

Ed

I'd read the manual if I had it. I'm helping out a friend who threw
out the manual... Could you please elaborate?

Thanks,

Ed

Have you tried doing a hard reset of the router? That may fix your problem.

If that doesn't do the trick for you, then you might have to flash the
router with its firmware, because the firmware can be sick.

That's usually the case when you have the problem that you're having where a
site or sites cannot be accessed by machine or machines behind a router is
that the firmware is or has become corrupted.

Think about it, if you have not set any rules yourself to block a site, then
how do you think the router is going to just start making up a rules to
block a site, unless you created the rules?

On the other hand, someone could have hacked the router to set rules to
block a site, but I doubt that one.

There is something wrong with the router's functions.
