Hi,
I just want to known is there any standard for security based products.

I mean if any one is giving products related to handling our hardware
or network interface, then there should be some orginization standard
body validate that product to make sure it impacts only that
functionalities.

This is because if any firewall or sniffer code is giving, chances are
ther to hack or harm information from our system. This one we dont
known unless we validate that product.

Let me known if any such organization body taking care of this.
Otherwise I like to propese that standard.

Cheers,
Ravi.

http://www.icsalabs.com/icsa/icsahome.php

these people test and report the results and have always been on the
level, I trust them to tell me about the strength/level of certification
for my appliances and if they passed.
