I am more accustomed to Zone Alarm and Norton NIS.

Where does one add the IP addresses of trusted PC's in the workgroup? I
can't seem to find it.

I am more accustomed to way more sophisticated malware like MSDRM or Zlob.K.

Is that important? You installed a privilege escalation vulnerability.
