Has anyone had experience with the Linksys RV016 router? We wish to
use it in a traditional manner, a set of machines on a DMZ with
Public IP addresses, and a set of machines on a private network that
are NAT'ed to the internet.

We want to enable port filters to the DMZ, basically filter all to the
inbound except what is needed.

I'm just curious what the underlying hardware is on this router, and
is there a command shell interface as well as the web interface?

I purchased this product for a client. Thus far we have had nothing but
problems with the device, with no help from Linksys technical support.
The device can not maintain a VPN connection. We have 3 VPN's
connected to the device and they all die at exactly the same time.
SNMP stops working after about 5 minutes of the device being rebooted.
Thus far, we have had to reboot the device 2 times a day every day just
to keep the network online. Linksys technical support has been
horrible and can not speak english worth a crap. I'm horribly
disappointed in this product and thier complete lack of support for it.
We paid to much money and have nothing to show for it.
