Just wondering if my firewall (outpost) is on if both users are logged off
and pc is at the logon screen. I assume not. Thanks in advance.

I believe Outpost can be set to run as a service. If it is set that way,
then it is protecting the system prior to log-on.

What operating system are you running and what services are loaded by the
system before users logon?

I remember this question coming up a few years ago about ZoneAlarm.
In a similar situation ZoneAlarm at least lost it's "stealthing" and
logging abilities.

If you have another computer there scan it with nmap and check your
logs for any sign of the scan.
