Hi!

We're 20 neighbours sharing a DSL. I need some kind of tool or utility to
monitor (and preferably also restrict) bandwidth usage from the different
computers in the network to the internet. If possible I also want statistics
on every IP or MAC-address for upload- and download-amounts.

Suggestions?

Get a 24 port managed switch and then connect each house to a it's own
port, then you can watch load, byte count on send/recv, etc....

If you are using Linux the ntop program can monitor the bandwidth
usage.
