What are some of the 'suspect processes' that could be loaded and
possibly a virus/trojan?

What are some typical signs or files that could mean a Virus/Trojan?

They only 'risky' thing I do is download and run Video Files from
Usenet.

Here is my computer details if that helps

Windows XP Home Edition [SP2] 5.1.2600
Motherboard Asus A8S-X
CPU Type AMD Athlon 64 3500+
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS(256 MB)
RAM 1024 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
HARD DRIVE Maxtor 6L080P0

That's a tall oder to answer. Some EXE files will show in Task Manager but many
will load
as DLL files and become part of other, legitimate, processes such as LSASS.EXE
and
EXPLORER.EXE

| What are some of the 'suspect processes' that could be loaded and
| possibly a virus/trojan?

File names such as; 1.exe ~ 7.exe
Files with randomly generated file names are a couple of examples.

| What are some typical signs or files that could mean a Virus/Trojan?

Unwarrented Pop-Ups, mid-directed home pages, mis-directed searches, virus
warnings
generated outside of your anti virus software to name a few.

| They only 'risky' thing I do is download and run Video Files from
| Usenet.

And videos that tell you you need a Codec or Video ActiveX or often Socially
Engineered to
get you infected.

| Here is my computer details if that helps

It doesn't, the following are inconsequential except that you should have SP3
installed.

| Windows XP Home Edition [SP2] 5.1.2600
| Motherboard Asus
| A8S-X
| CPU Type AMD Athlon 64 3500+
| Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS(256 MB)
| RAM 1024
| MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
| HARD DRIVE Maxtor 6L080P0

I guarantee that we, and David, also imply that you should be taking a
very proactive stance against all forms of malware.

Best wishes.
