How does one clear the typed URL history? When I click to remove
private data and reopen Firefox, the URL history is still there.
Someone earlier suggested highlighting each one and then deleting them
all. That does not work for me and it seems there would be an easier
solution. Is there?

Click on Tools, then Options in Firefox. Click on the tab for Privacy
and at the bottom there are two boxes to check for Private Data. Check
those both. Then click on Settings to the right and check off the first
one (Browsing History). I also have "Cache" ticked off and that way all
of these things are cleared when you close FF.

Btw....when you do close it off for the night or whatever, a box comes
up asking you if you want to clear them.....so answer in the
affirmative. I figure this will probably get rid of the URL history.

If not, then there are programs like CCCleaner that will do the job.
