The latest version of Firefox, 1.5 has been available for DL for several
days. It's available from a lot of sites but here's a direct link:

http://www.mozilla.com/

I had just install 1.07 over 1.06 about a week ago and only noticed a
few minor improvements. I've been using IE 5.01 most of the time because
Firefox loaded pages too slow. The new version 1.5 is much faster now
and I'm started using it as my default browser.

BTW, I installed over top of FF 1.06/1.07 without a hitch. Very clean
install program.

Chas.

The only hitch I experienced is that two plug-ins had to be updated. For
example; ieview

And I had a MISERABLE time with it. It was way too slow, and eventually I
went back to 1.0.7. However, it took me several tries to get the new one
totally off this computer. I may have to uninstall 1.0.7 and start fresh.
But I have to admit that I probably caused some of the uninstall problems.

I'm running Win98SE on this system and it seems to be working fine.
Firefox is still a little sluggish launching, 4-5 seconds vs. 1-2
seconds for IE.
