brownnose
(broun'noz')

or brown-nose tr.v. Informal., -nosed or -nosed, -nos·ing
or -nos·ing, -nos·es or -nos·es.
To curry favor with in an obsequious manner; fawn on.

[From the image of an obsequious person whose nose becomes soiled in kissing
the rump of someone from whom favor is sought.]

I get all that for pointing out Bass is incorrect in his choice of words? An
obsequious person? With Bass? I guess you have to be willing to put battery
acid in his chemo IV to be considered normal.

No you got that because without knowing the history you somehow assumed that
Doug was envious or jealous. And I find your crack about RLB's cancer
curious since I've never said anything about it, you must have me confused
with Frank or Jim.

WHAT?

You already had the hardware and MONITORING CONTRACT?? What the hell are you
doing programming it then?

And that IS correct, no pro would interfere with another company's contract
(intentionally) - nor would they work on another's install unless authorized
to do so by the monitoring/installing company.

| I appreciate that. But I did not become a DIY'er security alarm
| installer on purpose. The "professional" I hired designed the system
| and layout, got the hardware, ran the wires, but then never came back
| to install the system. Then any other pro I called wouldn't come in to
| set it up because I already had the hardware and monitoring contract.
| So I was pretty much screwed into do it myself.
