If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
additional insured crap happens a lot these days...actually about the past
10 years out here...all the primes must have the same risk management
advisors...so I just started adding the cost of the additional insured ins.
cert. to all big primes bids.

I do not do additional insured. If they ask, I'll furnish a certificate of
liability insurance, but no additional insured. If they walk, they walk.

I'm not gonna walk on a 30K job because the want a cert. that costs 150
bucks...besides I just budget for it. The whole principle of it pisses me
off though

I wouldn't mind either if the $150 was the end of it. I don't want to carry
anybody as additional insured on my policy.

I do the same thing. If the certificate isn't good enough, see ya.
Especially when you have to, or are requested to service the crap they
themselves installed.
