Hello,

I wonder if possible to do an http connection without trace on the webserver
log ? (i don't talk about the proxy solution)
Or it is possible for a hacker to show only connection on the index page ?

That's like asking "Can I break into a building without getting caught?".
How the heck should we know unless you blueprint the building's security
for us. You don't even say what type of building you're talking about, let
alone give out any info about how competently it's being guarded.

But the general answer is "no". If you make a connection attempt to a web
server, most default configurations will log SOME level of information
about that connection. If you're getting in and out without leaving traces
in log files, you've already compromised that machine and know the answers
to your own questions. :)

Use a linksys router and have it send the log files to WallWatcher on a
PC and you'll see all there is to see.

Did Cisco buy LinkSys? Linksys Routers have been around for a long time
and have their own reputation, regardless of current ownership.
