If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
hi, i have some troubles recently with my windows XP computer.

sometimes it goes into stand-by modus without me requesting it.
sometimes i just work on it, do something and suddeny -> log off and
the screen goes black. sometimes it the computer even switch of without
requesting it.

it happens not regulary. my computer can work for a week with out this
problem, sometimes it happens 5 times in 10 minutes.

does anyone know if there is a virus doing that and if there is some
help?

Sounds like hardware, except - Does it go through a shut down? Or just
"Whap" OFF.

Is it an old laptop? I had to open mine and remove a lot of black dust,
to make it work again.
