If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
somethings hijacking all my browsers (IE & FireFox)

symptoms ..
cant get to google image search - hijacks to bestwindowsdownloads or
winlocate
cant get to . - hijacks to pick-to-click

Ad-Aware, MS AntiSpy, Norton AV all report 'clean'

i suspected somehow a rootkit, which is why i tried to go to
. and realized something clever is hijacking my XP-SP2 system.

please advise any ideas.

Also check your HOSTS file for a contamination.
