Ad-aware SE is for NT based OS' and Win9x/ME and no longer automatically
updates. You have
to manually update that version. At some point it is expected all support for
Ad-aware SE
will be dropped and won't even allow manual updates.
Ad-aware 2007 and the latest version, Ad-aware 2008, are for Win2K and above
only due to
their dependency on NT Services.
Note also that the "Pro" versions perform "On Access" scanning to prevent being
infected
with adware/spyware while the "SE" or personal versions perform only "On Demand"
scanning
and remove not prevent adware/spyware infections.
