The problem of checking all the files during an On Demand Scan is the
time it takes. In my opinion, if the On Demand Scan takes too long to
perform (more than six hours, for example), the user tends to use it
very seldom, and if you can shorten significantly the time it takes
using a selective Scan, the user will use it more often.
