The shift keys on your keyboard broken? Well, I guess it beats writing
in all caps.

What did you mean by "response" in your original message? If you want to
find out how a particular scanner reacts to the presence/arrival of a
malicious program, EICAR is good enough.

If you want to test detection rates, then you need
a) a huge number of samples, i.e. not 10 viruses randomly downloaded
here and there
b) working samples, i.e. not broken junk (which is abundant on the Internet)

This means you need time and competence. Do you have both?

Hey <expletive deleted>, ever heard of judicious snipping? I left the
part that was relevant to my reply. Anyone who wants to can read the
original post without my quoting it, so don't tell me how to post to
usenet.

I see the others have also spoken to the inappropriateness of your
proposed "testing." Did you actually look at the site I suggested?
What makes you think you can do a better job? I was trying to stop you
from deluding yourself by conducting your own, irrelevant tests, but
be my guest. As you now know, you won't get any help in the way of
samples here. Nor any other way with that attitude.

Ease up cowboy. My last intentions were to get your blood temperature
up to a boiling level <g>.

I don't have an attitude, nor am I upset. Get a grip on yourself and
gain some self control for goodness sakes, this is usenet.
