If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I'm curious. Wouldn't it be possible (and it may be done already) for
someone to write a script of sorts that would "reactivate" malware by
changing the quarantined file extension back into the normal file
extension. I only ask this because many people quarantine their
infections but never actually delete them, making for the possiblity of
a huge reinfestation. Are quarantine files highly encrypted to prevent
this? Thanks!

I believe quarantined files within Symantec AV CE are encrypted. I need
to check on my other AV product.
