If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Some of the scanning engines I use routinely and frequently are: Spybot S&D
1.4, SUPERAntiSpyware 3.1, Bitdefender8, Ewido 3.5, A-squared 1.6.5,
Ad-Aware 1.6.5, Art's KAVDOSNT and eTrust EZ Antivirus 7.0.8.1.
Can David's MULTI-AV scanning engines be used routinely as well or should
the command line scanners utility only be applied if an emergency presents
itself?
Regards,

They too can be used routinely. Each AV modules will keep its respective AV
Engine and
Signatures up-to-date.

If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options ...one of them downloads the whole "update," even when up to date !
just firing it up to see which:-
Sophos just whizzed through, and didn't refetch it.
...so did Trend3
aha ! it's Mcafee collecting 8mb's or so on it's way in ! :-)
Kaspersky scrolled a load of high speed "remote file is not newer than local
file" messages.
...so it's Mcafee
..but it's still brilliant !
