Recently I used my thumbdrive on a PC infected with the Funny UST
Scandal worm/virus. Now the thumbdrive is infected!
My queries are:
(a) If I connect the infected thumbdrive to an uninfected PC, will the
PC get infected?
(b) How do I get rid of the infection from the thumbdrive?
Thanks in advance!

Depends on how it's written. Odds are it will IMO.

First, update all your AV programs. Second, find out more about this
nastie. Then connect the thumbdrive and run AV program. If Scandal
doesn't jump on its own, it will be enough to run the AV on the
thumbdrive alone, o'wise run it on all drives.

Yes if the drive has "AutoRun" enabled and this is the mode the malware uses to
spread and
your AV software performing "On Access" scanning has no signatures for it.

Scan the drive with an "On Access" AV software that has signature for it.

if you don't need the files, just find a friend with
a Mac, plug the drive in, and reformat it.

if you ned the files, ask that friend to first
copy them, then format the drive, and then
put them back.
