Do you sleep under a bridge because it's free ?

Do you put water in your gas tank because it's free ?

Do you eat dog shit because it's free ?

Do you drink your own piss because it's free ?

What's the obsession with "free" when it comes to software ?

Because AVG 7.5 was a perfectly good product, and it was free.

I agree with you totally. 7.5 is very trim, and does its job. The problem is
the technological speed limit being exceeded. Go into the store now and you
get 4gb ram, 200gb disk drives, dual cpus, etc, etc. All the software is now
being written for what's now out there, even the free stuff. I have a mere
768mb, 6gb dual PIIs, W2K Pro box, I'm thinking that Spyware Terminator
[still a little bigger than AVG 7.5] gets most of the bad guys and is pretty
trim. I didn't install the Crawler Toolbar, too cumbersome for me. I don't
go to lousy websites so, I don't need the WebSheild, immense creature that
scans everything coming from the net. See my other posts for other details.
