Hi I have Norton Internet Security, and keep getting a message from
it: "A computer with the IP address 0.0.0.0 sent information that is
characteristic of the Goidr DNS Request attack". This sounds like
Chinese to me. Can someone please tell me what it's all about, and,
more importantly what, if anything, do I need to do about it? Many
thanks for all help.

IP 0.0.0.0 is not usable, like 255.255.255.255 is not usable. It seems to me
that you need to dump Norton, as it's got you all paranoid.

0.0.0.0 is used by BootP or DHCP to obtain an address.
