I am trying to renew my subscription to E-trust anti virus but without any
success

When I click the "Renew Now" on the subscription upgrade page I am taken to
the secure digitalriver shopping cart page, which displays a message "Your
shopping cart is currently empty"

E Trust customer support says that the message is due to my having a
firewall turned on, which is stopping my accessing the payment page.

But I get the same message with the firewall turned off.

Has anyone experienced the same problems or can suggest what could be
stopping my accessing the payment page.?

Thanks

Tommy T.

I've not had that exact problem, but I've just given up on E-trust.
I've been with them ever since the Innoculate-IT days and have had
problems of some kind every year when I try to renew.

This year, it won't accept any of my three credit cards. Support say I must be
entering my details incorrectly. Come on! Entering incorrect details on all
three cards? So I've purchased Kaspersky AV instead - using one of the same
credit cards that was refused by E-trust!

It's a pity, because I've always liked E-trust. One good thing is that
I'll no longer have to endure that horrendously convoluted web site!
:-)

Hi Tommy,

You might consider my decision. I have given up on EZTrust and will not
renew in June even if the page works. They increased the price of annual
renewal and their site is very poorly organized. I had to invest a lot
of time due their goof-up on the recent signature update.

After monitoring AV NGs since last year, I am considering NOD32 which is
a better rated AV, comparably priced. Kaspersky is also very good but
caused system problems for a 'few' people. I haven't seen problems
mentioned from NOD32 users.

My 2¢,

BoB

Oh? I noticed that they raised the purchase price of the antivirus
software just recently from $30 to $40. Renewals have always been
$20... what are they now?

Can't argue with that statement.

When eTrust blew up on Thursday, I purchased and installed a copy
of NOD32 on my main computer, leaving eTrust on the others. NOD32
is a very different interface and will take some getting used to,
but in most independent tests it gets top ratings.

And my $39.00 :)

Renewed for $9.95 in '03/'04. didn't notice '05 cost $19.95 or
would have quit last year.
