I installed Zone Alarm on my win xp Sp2 system. I use only the firewall and
ad-blocker functions. I do not use their AV, spyware and e-mail facilities.

It seems that my computer has slowed down in my web browsing and general
computing operations. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is a system
slowdown normal after Zone Alarm installation?

Make sure you have the windows XP firewall turned off if you use zonealarm
firewall.
Running two firewalls at the same time may give you a problem.

I saw no problem after installing zone alarm. The installation turned
off windows firewall which I had been using.
The only problem I see is running zone alarm and antivir, zone alarm
always shows some activity. This was pointed out in an earlier post with
explanation for same (antvir uses a port). Doesn't bother me.
