after much thought,came up with this jewel:

Have you set up the firewall that is on the router?(most have them)

Hi' Max, I don't know if I did that, I was so nervous setting the whole
thing up, is there any way of checking it.

Yes. Find the box that the router came in. There is some paperwork
inside. One of the booklets will be the manual. You will need to know
the login name and password. The manual will give you the answer.
Usually you put 192.168.0.1 in your browser's address box.
Then log in to the router.
