I, and a friend, have both uninstalled Nortan AV 2005 from our
computers in favor of another AV program.
Where are the registry keys left behind after uninstalling Norton AV
2005?
We both need them removed.
thanks

Their are many keys, the primary ones being under
hkeylocalmachine/software/symantec. You might want to get the symantec
removal too to help you clean up some (but not all) of the other clisid
keys, etc.

Run RegCleaner and then follow up by running RegSeeker.
That's what I do after removing software.

If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options Scanned a KEYGEN [2] times with NAV 2005 and it found nothing.
Same KEYGEN was scanned by online scanners and only NOD32 and some
other one I cannot remember the name found it to be a trojan, actually
[2] trojans and [1] keylogger in one program.
My suggestion would be do the online scans first and if ANYTHING comes
up then immediately delete the file.
No, I am not joking.
