Sorry for the top post, but didn't want to mess up your neat post. (G)

I am surprised that I am still able to get news groups today....the deadline
was yesterday, but I am crossing my fingers. Perhaps Ted Rogers realized he
had ticked off more customers than he thought he would.

And thanks for the info, James & Befunge.....I used to use the
Individual.net one but my only problem with it is that you can't munge your
address. I had checked into that one first. Still no munging.

Just a suggestion, get a throwaway hotmail/gmail/yahoo address
(solves the "munge" etc.)

Hi Sunny.....

Using a free news server (aioe.cjb.net) and just testing it. But you are
right....I will use a throwaway account if I use the German one. I got cut
off at 2 pm today, so just trying out some of the free ones. Allegedly this
one allows me to post...we shall see.

Wow!! I am impressed.....took mere seconds. No ACAV tho. I will still be
changing ISP's though.....this was the last straw with Rogers!!
