I found it wouldn't carry to the same thread depth as the MS servers, so
while I usually used it news.individual.net, I kept msnews.microsoft.com
ready for reading the occassional *really* long thread. Most of the time it
just wasn't an issue though.

Trying out Google Groups.....Rogers has terminated Usenet as of 2 pm.
I may look into news.individual.net.

I will also switch ISP's unless they change the above, but I doubt it.

What a pain in the posterior!!

A right pain in the Piles!

James Westfall Thompson found all the same complaints:
economic chaos, social unrest, high prices, profiteering, depraved
morals, lack of production, industrial indolence, frenetic gaiety,
wild expenditure, luxury, debauchery, social and religious hysteria,
greed, avarice, maladministration, decay of manners. Familiar

there's an easy work around for that if you happen to have a gmail
account (don't know if it works on others)... supply the address
{your address}+REMOVETHIS@gmail.com and set up a filter to delete all
incoming email to that address (you will be able to receive email at
that address)...

another option is to try mailinator.com for disposable email (like peter
did)... dodgeit.com is a similar service... in fact there are many
disposable email services that could help... i think spamgourmet.com
allows you to setup a whitelist of who can send you email so if you
signed up with a spamgourmet email address and set it so that
individual.net was in the whitelist perhaps that would work...
