Hi all

I started the day confronted by a PC which appears to be infected by the
above mal-ware.
When I go onto the a-virus sites McAfee and Symantec and run a search on
this, no results are returned and yet a general google search has matching
hits!
I was looking for a stinger to target this directly with no joy.
I am currently running Adaware to try to eradicate but notice that pop-ups
are still occurring along with IE launching.
Should I be running this in safe mode?
Any other advice appreciated.

Also this virus is contained in the user's profile which is copied to the
server due to roaming profiles being enabled.
How should I try to remove it from the profile copy on the server?
Will it delete, or will it infect the server when a delete attempt is made?

We are running McAfee anti-virus and anti-spyware 8.5i for what it's worth.

Thanks in anticipation

Phil

no anti-malware product you've tried calls it malware so what makes you
think it's malware?

unfortunately, though you've told us what you've tried, you haven't
really told us what the problem is...
