You can use the msconfig from Win XP available here:

Art,
Does it work for Win NT also? I'm assuming yes by what the page says.

Last night, I installed the current Avast freeware on my WinXP SP2 machine.
It seemed to install okay, and it would let me launch software, but then the
software could not be used. I had to use the power button to shut down. I
re-installed had the same result. I couldn't even uninstall without going to
Safe Mode.

BTW, I have been a fan of Avast, currently use it on my wife's Win98SE
machine, and have successfully used it on other machines.

I just checked, and it doesn't say that. It just says msconfig wasn't
included on NT, but it doesn't say the XP msconfig works on NT. Of
course, which NT version(s) is the question. Win 2K is a later NT
version (I think it's NT5). So if you have some earlier version of NT
it might be worth a try. But I have no idea of the risk involved in
trying it without having the ability to restore Windows from backup,
so don't blame me if something goes wrong :)
