Avast! is issuing the following dialog every so often:
------------------------------------------------------
Your updating license will expire soon
------------------------------------------------------

This is the freebie home version.

Anybody know what the implications are - besides the obvious...

I guess it will stop working.

I thought the current license expired 1Q2007. Is this the 60 day
trial license your talking about??

Dunno. I thought I had installed their home-use freebie. Seems to me like
it's a lot more than sixty days.... but it's something to look in to.

Thanks.

Just browsed Avast's log files and there's no mention of this dialog being
issued.

Got it!

I was running a "Timed Demo" license - presumably the one that comes with the
download.

Once you register, they issue a license key just for you. Sounds like I had
failed to enter that license key. I clicked "Start Avast" somewhere (cannot
find it right now...) and it popped a descriptive dialog that told me what was
up and gave an opportunity to paste in the proper license code.
