Well, their v2 was always in "beta" status for how long? Wasn't it like
2 years. An obvious ploy by Comodo to keep them out of the AV
comparatives because, well gee, it was beta and always beta. Their
coverage was too low (38%) to consider it as anything other than a toy
experiment. They didn't have many reporting users to help them update
their database for them. Even if and when it comes out of beta status,
I wouldn't bother with it until the next on-demand test at
av-comparatives.org to see if it is of value to even trial it.
Considering several AV alternatives (Avast, AntiVir, AVG) are free, why
waste time on a beta product that may never get out of beta status?

Yes that was my understanding as to why it was beta. I hadn't apprecaited it
had been beta for quite so long. Shame.

Yes, I use AVG at home, but I was looking at low cost options for some of
the pcs we use infrequently in the office. Its looking like we'll have to
continue with McAfee for a few more years yet.

Thanks.
