I use Anti-Vir and am very happy with it. Lately I have noticed it takes
quite a while for the Anti-Vir guard programme (the bit that sits in
your tray) to become active from a startup. Has anyone else noticed this
delay or is it just me?

TIA,
R.

Just because the icon doesn't show up quickly doesn't mean the program
isn't loading up. Antivir is a system service and loads up as other
system services are loading up also. What you are expecting to see in
the system tray is just the Control Panel for Antivir, not necessarily
antivirus protection being enabled.

I realise this, it's just in my haste (!) that I often try to start up
other progs (net connection, firewall, etc) and everything comes to a
stop until the guard has loaded. It never used to take too long so I was
wondering if anything had changed is all.

Thanks for the reply.
