Is there normally a problem running two virus scanners on the one PC?
Am using Mcafee v10 virus scan and Mcafee firewall.
Just recently installed AVG Free Edition 7.1.394 , trying it out.
What appears to happen is that when I do a full scan using AVG,
McAfee virus scan is disabled. Not in itself a great problem if
AVG is doing its job.
Any thoughts appreciated ...Ian

Generally: any virus scanner might disagree with a competing scanner. Both
poke deeply into the system. One pokes, the other one yells bloody murder
and tries to kill the alleged virus.
There can be only one...

McAfee's detection rate is miles ahead of the dismal AVG. There really
is no point in running two scanners.

McAfee's fuckup rate is a lot higher, too!

Yes, but the software interface is as cumbersome, slow, buggy, and as
unreliable as Nortons. No point having a fantastic set of definitions, when
the programme itself causes more trouble then its worth.
