All other applications are getting through!
This has been going on since I blocked their new
web page checker.

Anyone any advice here.

I still have their "web page checker" turned on, but have been having
problems getting the updates for the last couple of days. Maybe they are
having server problems.

Thanks. Tried that. Now get Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware "Database is outdated."
I have tried up-dating a couple of times. I'm now using AntiVir in the meantime.

That is exactly what mine said and it would not download new stuff-I went to
the avg site to download a new avg and it gave me options to fix the avg I
had--I clicked fix and then downloaded new stuff--after the download I had
to restart my computer...not I get automatic updates..
good luck
