If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
These messages keep poppping up on people's IM- is it a virus? anyone
seen this?

Any idea is clicking on it does any damge? It sends out the same
message to everyone in the AIM list but I'm not sure if it does any
other damage?

A .pif file (Program Information File) will execute and do stuff on your
computer. Since the mentioned file seems to be gone now, we can't say
what it would have done, but you can bet it would have been malicious.

Clicking on it would have been exactly what the perpetrator wanted you
to do.

Trillian replace three or 4 messengers programs, and has no
advertising... as some of the messenger programs...

Basic is still free, with no nags...
